Varied Accompaniments

Well, we’ve come a long way since we were first learning to play chords. By using more complicated right-hand patterns, learning to move from chord to chord, and learning to read tablature, we’ve already been able to play some familiar songs and enjoy them.

Now we’re ready to combine these talents so we can play some broken chords using tablature. This will enable us to play even more songs, and to begin to understand how to make our own chord arrangements—so we can play in any style that we’d like.

As an added bonus, the chapter ends with our very first guitar solo. This classical piece will put all your fingers to the test—but don’t worry, you’ll be ready for it!
